That's an easy one, just drill a hole in the bottom of each one.

but then where does the water go?
i thought about that but then figured with my luck it would end up leaking directly onto the fuse box or soemthing

I read once a guy on one of those "other" forums, where a guy used aquarium air tubing to route all the holes in his cupholders to the bilge. If you've got the time and patience for it, I'd recommend that. Might not be a bad idea for an off-season project? In the meantime, I just use paper towels!

Straad, I'm with you. I have 3 kids and water is in the cupholders all the time. When you put a drink in the cup holder and water is pushed out over the top, it just makes you think WHY?

i did just that with mine. I bought some new cup holders that had a drain hole c/w a nipple at the bottom & attached some aquarium airhose so that the water would drain into the bilge. Took a little time to route the hose but eliminated the problem completely.

I had a resident spider living in my starboard rear cupholder... :)

I have a cover leak coming in from somewhere, because I know when I open up the boat there is some water in the holders as well as the side rails where they sit. Not a big deal however, but .. it is there.

After closer examination this weekend, it looks like the previous owner drilled a hole in the bottom of each of the 4 cupholders in the main part of the boat, but left the 2 up front in the bow alone.

I know this will generate a roar of laughter. I just received my SS cupholders with holes in the bottom. Now what? What do I plug into the holes?

Thanks in advance, I think I am not real smart....
