Blistered hull
So I have a 94 Mariah Talari and my hull is covered with tiny blisters. Any of you fellow owners experience this? I'm debating on not fixing it and leaving it as is. Stupid?

Re: Blistered hull
Well its very common among fiberglass boats that are kept in water all season. One solution is to repair it and bottom paint it....no pictures because boats in water right now

Re: Blistered hull
Ya this is normally caused by the original gel coat application ive heard. Anomalies may allow the gel coat to be pourus, water gets between the gel coat layer.
Depending on the severity, it can be a bit of work to repair but not impossible. It should be taken care of as the water pockets in time can compromisethe hull. Repair it and bottom paint so far is the way to go! 1998 shabah 180 5.7l 350 mag Bravo III |
Re: Blistered hull
I've just recently found out that my boat has these blisters as well. And look as though they have appeared all over this year. My lake dropped so low my boat was pretty much parked in mud. Wonder if it had anything to do with it?
