Trim indicator
 

The trim indicator on my dash is stuck in the up position. The motor itself moves when raising and lowering but the trim indcator does not move. Any ideas??

it sounds like your trim sensor , which is located on the side of your lower unit. Bought mine off Amazon, around $60.
When you purchase this item you get both trim sensor and trim limit switch. You will also need to purchase a hinge removal tool and bellows adhesive and a bellows sleeve install tool.These items are a must!!! There are a couple of videos on you tube but they don't show all the steps. This is a two person job, and you need a little mechanical ability.
One set of wires are on the back side of the engine (very tricky to reach). Take your time.Also get Mercruiser
gaskets only. I purchased another brand and the oil passage leaked, purchased oem , problem solved.
