At least you've got snow. snow can be fun
Won't stop raining here! :shakehead:

Has not been much of a winter on the front range. Wind an tumbleweeds are about the only thing to happen here. A few snow dustings. One guy I saw at the gas station before Christmas has been taking his boat out still! Wake boarding with a wetsuit.

Hey Mikey, did you check out the Toronto Boat show this year? We went last Saturday. Puts a little summer into our long Canadian winter.

No, unfortunately i didn't get down to the show this year. I did want to go to the Vancouver show though. I heard that they had the SS Minnow there along with "Mary Ann" from Gilligans Island.

The highest temperature we have forecast in our area over the next two weeks is -8c (17.5f). That along with another dumping of snow here yesterday is getting really old. I'm running out of places to put the stuff. I think its time to shoot those weather prognosticating groundhogs.....

even in east texas, we're having an unusually cold winter with snow, sleet, howling north wind, yuk. ready for this stuff to be gone!

Hope things turn around for you guys quickly!
Snowing here again today also. We need it but I and everyone else around here is over it also!

Re: Bleah...

Have ice in the forecast tonight in east Texas. Not gonna be a good night around here. I'm a dispatcher where I work and have 6 fuel tankers running the highways. Ice shuts them down, so I'm sure ill get lots of ugly phone calls from angry customers wondering where their load of gas is. Sleeting now. Yuk!

Re: Bleah...

Ok Larry, I'll never gripe about getting an inch or two of that stuff here anymore. Lol. Couldn't imagine getting that much snow here. That would be instant disaster area in my parts!

I wuz watching some of the flooding on the news last night. It's been a weird winter everywhere this year... :shakehead:

Andy b 02-11-2014 02:57 PM

Re: Bleah...

It's the same weather front that's dumping all the snow on you guy's. But buy the time the jet stream has dragged it across the Atlantic it's warmed up and become rain. Also we are getting hit by some big storms being pushed in by the weather! There has been a lot of coastal damage in the south west. I've not seen anything this bad before! Added to the fact that February is usually our month for snow and we're still getting day time temps of 10*c <15*c.
Crazy times! Just hope we have a long hot summer ti dry out.....lol

Gahooligan, we just had it here last night and its heading your way (from east Texas). Got half an inch of ice on everything and its shut everything down. I think even the mailman will say screw it on this one. Had planned on towing the boat to the shop today to get some work done on its drive unit, but Mother Nature says no

Mikey,
Although only a mile from the coast I'm lucky to be quite high up.
There is a lot of flooding local to me, but at the moment I'm high'n'dry :wink_thumbup:

We've lost a lot of trees around here, and my local pub has been flooded :shakehead:
This picture was taken only a couple of miles from my place. quite ironic really:rolleyes:
