Default Ethanol

Gas stations in Nebraska are all switching to ethanol only. Some will still carry non ethanol but its supposed to be very expensive. This happening elsewhere also? I hate ethanol and only use it if I have no choice. All my cars get worse fuel mileage that's not offset enough by the cheaper cost.

We have stations down here in Alabama offering non ethanol every day. But it is 30 cents per gallon more. But I buy it for the boat.

They're starting to put ethanol in the fuel over here too. (UK)
Already were starting to get problems (on boats) with water in the fuel, algae growth in carburettors
and non alcohol rated fuel lines and fittings breaking down and clogging up parts!

I'll post back how much higher it is. Before the switch it was .10 to .12 higher.

I have no choice in St. Louis. I do by the additive to "block" the negative effects of it though. Does that stuff actually work?

    http://pure-gas.org

I use to use that site. Doesn't really matter to me now. The closest place around me is over 60 miles away. Ethanol is a freaking joke. There are numerous threads about it and the additives to use because of it (clearly the additive I used this summer didn't quite do its job!!) I have still been having issues because of the moisture it soaks into my fuel. Causes grief when starting from time to time. Change the fuel filter and the problem goes away. Amazing...
