Blasted by snow

Anyone else getting blasted by this snow. We so far have about 15 inches of this crap. And to think the state park will be open in 4 weeks to put the boats in.

Yep....we're getting pounded up here too. A local Toronto weather station said their record snowfall for a winter was 207cm (about 82") set back in 1939 and that with this snowfall they will surpass that record and we still have a month or two (or three?) to go!

I've shovelled out our driveway 3x already today.... :(

Snow!!!

Yep, here in good old Erie Pa its coming down too. It started around 9:00 AM Friday morning and hasn't really stopped. We will have over 100" for the season when it's all over. It's nothing for us to get around 120" a season. I live about a 1/4 mile from Lake Erie, just east of the city of Erie. The lake is frozen over as far as you can see. That is good for the lake as the water is usally very clear in the spring after a freeze over. Paul Z.

Yep, we've been getting nailed here in Cincy for the past day straight. However it looks like it may have cleared, the sun seems to be shining a bit. There's about 15" on the ground right now. We're still in a Level 3 Snow Emergency, (Road Crew & Emergency Vehicles only)...they can actually arrest you for driving. shakehead: Roads are slick, but there's quite a few people out. We took the Excursion out and it's not too bad, but I've heard the highways are still not cleared and they're beginning to ice. I've spent all day shoveling our driveway & helping my neighbors get out of theirs. This is crazy.

Damn, you guys are getting pounded!

It's sunny, with blue skies here in Seattle, 52 degrees right now. I probably just scared it away by saying that. Oh yeah, i just looked at the forecast, back to rain from Sunday through at least Thursday.

Good luck with handling the snow!

It's really been coming down here for the last couple of hours. I just finished shovelling the drive for the 5th time today and it already looks like i need to go back over it. :(

They were saying on the news/weather station that there was thunder / lightning just east of Toronto too!

Here's the Dayton, Ohio weather radar picture. Looks like we may get another hour or two & then it should start to ease off.

And if you look at the Binghamton, New York radar you can see how everyone to the east of us is really getting pounded but good...

Pffftttt

I drove down to Toronto saturday afternoon in the snowstorm..... for a concert! :wink_thumbup:

I arrived at my gf's place at 2pm (north of Brampton), drove Bovaird Drive to Hwy427, to 409 to 401 to Yorkdale Mall. All doing about 60-70kms/hr. Hopped on the subway (aka the TTC) and rode that for about half hour and we were @ the Eaton Centre downtown Toronto at about 3:55pm! Concert was at 8pm and over just before 11pm. Made it home by midnite and got stuck on the road in front of my gf's place (she lives on a court).

So we had to get her sisters boyfriend to help me back up into the neighbours driveway (their driveway was already full of cars) and I was shovelling the ROAD because the town didn't even make an attempt to plow it saturday night.

So the roads werent great, there were drifts everywhere... but the concert was ok. Downside is, one of the bands had a "family emergency" and had to head back to Chicago. We went to see the Chevelle / Finger 11 show @ Massey Hall.
