The subject of gun control fits in with our rules on Politics and Religion. So before we go near this, I dont think we want to go down the road of discussing the right to bear arms and the use of guns in the USA. That's way too divisive an issue that no one here is going to resolve and will only result in some bad feelings.... 
Moto... i suspect the cops already had an idea who was committing the b&e's and were simply waiting for some absolute proof. Glad to hear they got caught!
