Christmas 2012
Anyone here go all out for Christmas? Griswold style with the lights, etc....We put lights all around the house, have rope lights on our deck, and a snowman on the porch. Pretty mild compared to a lot I've seen.

Re: Christmas 2012
Nah.... i'm not a Grinch with this stuff but we do have a few houses in our neighbourhood that really go over the top with decorations & lights. Hell, there is so much light coming from some of them that I'm sure the birds use these houses as guideposts when they are migrating south. And i was almost positive i saw a small plane try to land on one of them last week. ;)
My house has red LED's along the eaves, a red spotlight lighting up the front of the house, a small deer lit up with white LED's and a couple of small trees in the front yard wrapped in multi coloured LED lights. It's subdued but it looks good. |
I couldnt imagine the process of storing all that stuff and getting it out every year either. Where would you start?

Looks like everyone survived the end of the world too! I personally think the Mayans screwed up. Their calendar ended the 21st.......but the one we have hanging up in the kitchen clearly doesn't end till the 31st. I'd say we have 10 more days!
