It remains to be seen just how bad it could get in NC and the states along the eastern seaboard over the next couple of days. Hopefully none of the idiots who decided to ride out the storm on the barrier islands end up as fish food.

Im in Chesapeake VA and the winds are expected to be 50-70 knots sustained..... Gusts to 90! Could rock the boat! We are 20 miles from the coast and 1/2 mile from the Intracostal Waterway.

I wont forget the day Irene came.....I picked up my 98 Jubilee! Weather really wasnt bad at all in Raleigh NC area....a little rain and a little wind but i've seen worse on typical summer storms around here. That means I get to take her out tomorrow! Woo hoo!

Hey wplaine,

Curious about your engine on your z215. I have a 98 Jubilee 214 with the 350 and bravo III and was curious what the hp was and what your top speed was on your z215 if you have the original prop on it.

Cheers,

Kevin

Re: Holy Irene

I have the original 5.7L Bravo III with the original 26P porps, 2bbl carb. It runs about 43 mph wide open at about 4400 RPM. Both seem low but with the Smart Tabs has good hole shot so I dont feel like playing with the props (they arent cheap) to get to 48 mph. Mine for a '96 is only about 4 mph off original top end quote for speed. I have been running with only 1/8 to 1/2 tank of gas and with the wife and I aboard it really jumps on a plane and flies. Hope this helps.
