I have the original 5.7L Bravo III with the original 26P porps, 2bbl carb. It runs about 43 mph wide open at about 4400 RPM. Both seem low but with the Smart Tabs has good hole shot so I dont feel like playing with the props (they arent cheap) to get to 48 mph. Mine for a '96 is only about 4 mph off original top end quote for speed. I have been running with only 1/8 to 1/2 tank of gas and with the wife and I aboard it really jumps on a plane and flies.
