Default Amphi-Car

Don't know if any of our foreign friends had seen anything like this before, figured I'd share! I saw this up in Put-in-Bay on our recent trip.

And here's a little quicktime movie of it coming to shore. (about 2.3mb)

The first time I saw one was way back when I was a kid, growing up in Port Credit on Lake Ontario. I thought it had driven off the dock and was sinking. Then the guy just drove it up the launch ramp, and it became the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Real James Bond kind of stuff...

There are still a number of them floating around southern Ontario. (pun intended...)

    Gotta love the dual props!

I've seen one here in Perth a while ago, just a little too weird for me, would love to see what would happen when it hits a decent wave
Sure would save on waiting time at the dock.

Never seen one in real life. Check these things out:

I saw the Terra Wind RV on Good Morning America. It was pretty sick. The Hydra-Spyder looks insane though!

I went for a ride in an amphicar when I was a little kid. Scared me to death driving right into the water! And no, you would NOT want to see it hit a decent wave!

    Hi 180diablo,

I believe this is the link you wanted:

    http://www.boatcan.com/index.php3?ts...&ad=1032308031

Jeez, I wonder if he's gonna get what he's asking for... Hey it's only $8000 US per MPH, what a bargan! (any faster, you've got a tailwind)

I think I'd rather be (filthy) rich than famous,
