I haven't dealt with MTX marine, but I have had their car audio and it is good quality stuff, I wouldn't hesitate to run anything with the mtx name on it.

Check out the Fusion Marine range, its not a car speaker 'marinised' as most of the so called marine stuff is. The Fusion range is actually designed from scratch for marine and is properly waterproof. I used 6x Fusion 6.5 inchers, plus 2x Fusion 10 inch subs, all run through Alpine V12 (non marine) amps mounted under my dash. Sounds awesome and didn't cost me the earth!

It bugs me cause i like my music clear! lol so if u can give me some suggestion it would be great. P.S i know nothing about audio and amps. check on your amp that is powering the tower speakers, there should be a switch with 3 settings, they are LP,MP,HP - you want it on MP this is a filter that you use depending what speakers you are using the LP is low pass that mainly allows bass through and the HP that allows very little bass through. The MP lets a good mixture thru that those speakers should handle, also you can check the bass setting on the radio and adjust there, but the switch needs to be checked first, if it is still too much bass it won't hurt to put the switch on HP.
Not to confuse you anymore, but you may also have the power (a.k.a. gain) on the amp turned up too high. These are good places to start.

I might try turning the bass down on the amp and use the radio to adjust it that should help shouldnt it? Any idea for replacement 6.5 speakers. I been looking at alpine and the mtx but dont know much about either

Alpine is always good, Kicker is what I will evetually go with. MTX should be fine also, they have really seemed to step up in marine speakers. Your tower speakers should almost drown out your other speakers since they are amped, but you can add a switch to turn them on and off if you want.

I was talking about putting a switch on the amp to turn it off if no one is skiing and you didn't want to run them. All you can do if they are drowning out your interior speakers, is turn down the power on the amp, that is the "gain" knob.
