Back from holidays...

Did anyone miss me ? :rolling_laugh:

Had a great week off on holidays. Got some shopping taken care of, got some boating time in at the cottage, got to pilot the RMS Segwun in Gravenhurst. Yes, I have photos of myself piloting that ship.

Here is a photo I grabbed from Google.

Also spent Thursday evening visiting friends of my girlfriend up in Sundridge (aka 1.5hrs north of my cottage). Spent last Saturday down in Niagara Falls sight seeing and spent more time at the cottage yesterday and sunday.

I FINALLY got around to removing the old adhesive from the Mariah shield side emblems that were missing from my boat when I purchased it. I do have the "pre" photos after dremelling the area clean, but I never bothered to snap "final" photos of it installed (go figure eh). I could do a writeup if need be.

Should have some photos in about two weeks time of the "new style" emblems installed.

Stay tuned to the "trips and travel plans" thread for photos of my trip to Lake Muskoka aboard the Segwun !

Welcome back! I knew it was quiet around here for a few days. :D

Man, that's pretty awesome! Looking forward to seeing your pics. And a writeup of the decal thing would be cool too, if you'd be willing to do one!

ROFL! Now I need to make up for lost time ..

Yeah, no problem I could do a writeup. I have been meaning to create a writeup, but I haven't changed anything on the boat yet. I just wish I brought my camera along with me yesterday when I went to install the emblems again.

I was working on the stereo this past week as well (new speakers). I have photos of the speakers currently and then I noticed that new speakers come with a smaller negative spade terminal. So I will be updating the old style spade terminals on the boat to the current smaller design terminals.

The stereo writeup will have to be for another time. I have sound, but I have more bass coming from one side then the other. Unless it it something w/ my old deck that is currently in there. I also wasnt up to opening up the conduit tubing that runs along the upper interior (hidden from view) to check where all these wires go.

I know we have wiring diagrams, but for some reason I fell I should almost let a pro rewire a stereo / speakers to it. I will post pics of what i'am faced with.

hey diablo,
I used to work at a place called Mr. Toads speed shop in Tenn. We specialized in installing stereos in Corvettes. A lot of small spaces in those and sound has not changed that much. I was also a mobile dj in Louisville for about 14 years. I might be able to help on the hifi issues. Just a note, this weekend I went out for 3 days and had issues with mine as well. Did not get them all fixed but that was because I was too busy messing up the tubers on the back. Post some pics or give me a better discription of what is going on and I might be able to lend a hand. By the way, how did you get the job of driving such a fine looking and large vessel? Those pics are great:wink_thumbup:
