Z250's for sale?
Anyone out there thinking of selling their 250? Was the 525 offered in that model?

Re: Z250's for sale?
I don't believe that was an engine option back then. I think the 250 is rated up to 430HP. Might be off on that but it's in the brochures. I have seen photos of a Mariah with the 500 blue motor.
Although that sounds like a very fun package I can't say a 250 would like that sorta speed. There are much better hulls out there. IMO one would be better off with a Go Fast type boat if you're looking for something with that power. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk |

I have my eye on a Z302. If I don't find a cure for 2'ideis I may have to sell.

Re: Z250's for sale?
I believe the 525's were only offered in the 272, Z300, and Z302 models.
As a previous owner of a Z250, I agree with motoxxx43, the 525 or even a 500 blue in a 250 wouldn't be a good combo at all. Maybe look into the bigger models... Still though, if you're looking for strictly speed and nothing else, you may be better suited looking for a true performance powerboat.... Mariah's look great are "equipped like no other boat in the world", and are amazing boats, but they just weren't built for high speeds. Anything above around 50mph and you're probably much better suited in a hull design built for that sort of speed. |

Correct, speed and comfort, im keeping my 180 but interested in a larger cruiser for the family, 272, 300 would be just right i forgot the 250 was a 25' and yes a 502 is too larger for that, 502's are offered in the 25 crownlines (90.000 cnd dollars) and 25' baja, ( again price way up there) no way id sell the 180 its just in too nice of shape to part with. I'll keep my eyes open for a 272, 300. Thanks. '98 mariah shabah 180 5.7l 350 mag Bravo III |
Re: Z250's for sale?
I will let you know how the 502 HO works out in the Z252 ..... 461 hp ..... just getting a new motor put in as i speak.
Reason i want a 502 is that i like cruising around 40-50 mph but i would have to run the motor too hard with the 454. if the boat is dangerous ill just change the prop to go slower but with a better hole shot. a boat is only as dangerous as the operator..... i wouldnt recommend a city slicker at the wheel :) |

Just for the record I never stated the 250 with a 502 would be "dangerous". I simply stated the 250 doesn't have a hull for high speeds. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk |
