Cuddy cabin mildew
Need some advice. Just purchased a '96 Shabah z255. In the process of cleaninng it and detailing it. I noticed some small round dots of mildew (or maybe mold...hope not) on the headliner of the cuddy cabin and on the side walls. Just a few spots, not overrun with it. Not sure how to clean that fabric. Any clues?
Also, as a side note - rather side question - does anyone know how I can get more modern looking cushions for the cuddy? Mine have the pastel "brushstrokes" pattern (too Miami Vice-ish). Was looking for solid colored cushions like the ones in the later model Mariah cuddies...perhaps ones that will also fit my '96 cuddy cabin. Any advice would be much appreciated. Like I said, more questions are likely to come as the next several weeks and months (and even years) pass. Thanks! |
Re: Cuddy cabin mildew
Hi NogginDoc, I've used "Starbrite" Mildew remover with great success, of course, what ever you use, try in an inconspicuous spot first to make sure it doesn't hurt the fabric.
I would just have the cushions reupholstered or have "slip covers" made for them. Good luck, WetWilly |
