Maybe some of the more knowledgeable guys has an answer? In my drive lube monitor, there seems to be a 1/16" layer of "foam" the lube underneath, is still dark blue. I dont want to damage the bravo 3 as it is very expensive to replace, see image, maybe someone has had a similar experience? Can the lube be overheated? The black on the outdrive was a 1 time occurrence. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Black "sut" around outdrive
Only thing I can come up with is if you changed drive oil and didn't refill it from bottom. You need to pump it in from bottom for initial refill. May have air bubbles coming back up tube from voids in case during running.

Your the 4th person to say that. No cause for concern, apparently the b-3 run hot, and it forces impurities and bubbles out into the drive lube monitor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Black "sut" around outdrive
As you can see how the mariah is docked, it seems to be a very difficult process to have my kids board the boat and not use my back bench seats as a step!!! My daughters boyfriend did it twice i almost threw him overboard. Id like to keep the original seats etc in top shape but seems to be a challenge getting in and out without stepping on the seats!
Unless i remove the cushion on the bow and have people board there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
