Default Can't match hub seal?

I have a Chariot trailer with my 1995 Barchetta 182 and went to redo the bearings today but could not find anyone who could match the seal. The bearings are standard but for some reason the seal OD is slightly smaller than that of a standard seal. My seal is 2.328 inches and the standard seal that would come in a kit with the same bearings I have would be over 2.5" OD. The ID of the seal rubber is the same on my seal and on the 2.5" seal. I went to several autoparts stores, camper stores, and the one Boat shop we have and no one even has a book that shows such a size is available.

Has anyone ran into this before? Where is everyone sourcing their bearings and seals?

Contact Bobby V at Prestige Trailers, 618-542-8313. Tell him what you have and he will be able to send you a new set of bearings and races out. Bobby can help you out with your Chariot Trailer needs.

    Default Found my seals!!

I found the name "Unique Functional Products" on the hub with a bunch of numbers so I googled it and got this website.

    http://www.ufpnet.com/

this site has all sorts of good information for those who have their surge brake system. There is installation, maintenance and service as well as complete breakdown of parts including bearings and seals. I emailed them to get a couple seals shipped or possibly crossed to something I can get faster.

I wouldn't discount the contact MariahPD gave you, he's a very valuable asset to our forum as he used to be the Customer Service & Warranty Manager at Mariah. I'd call them up first!

To my understanding Prestige took Chariot's place when they closed. I believe the blueprints and designs could have been sold to them because I can't look at a Prestige trailer (even today) and not see many of Chariot's original designs and features.
