Default prop

i have a 1995 mariah z210 talari with the 5.7 mercruiser.
Want to buy a stainless prop.
Let me know what has worked and what has not.
I did try a 23 pitch stainless, but that did not work.

Thanks

There is nothing like a bit of 'self education' when it comes to props. There is a "Sticky" at the top of this forum that will give you all of the basics on how to choose a prop.

You stated that a '23 pitch did not work'. What do you mean by that? What were the results? WOT rpms too low? Poor acceleration? What prop did you have prior to the 23"? Did it perform okay? If it did, then that prop should be your reference point after you read the sticky. If not, i would suggest a 19" 3 blade as a starting/reference point.

19 3 blade SS or 4 blade 20. Perfect for that boat

I have a 94 z210 with the 5.0 4v motor and the 21 aluminum was a little to much prop making it hard to plane and I tried a 17 stainless that I borrowed from a neighbor and it was to small (5000 rpm's) so I'm opting for the 19 stainless..(gotta start somewhere)
