Purchasing a 1995 Talari 24ft. with the 7.4 L and the Bravo 1 outdrive.

I would like to put on a new Mercury prop. The one they show for the bravo 1 is a four blade stainless. But I have no idea what the proper size and pitch should be for this boat.

I am in the process of purchasing from a dealer and want them to re-prop as part of the purchase. Any advice would be appreciated.

Looks like the Mercury Bravo 1 four blade would be a good choice. It comes in 15 1/4 inch diameter and pitches 22" thru 36". If any one could suggest the right pitch for the 24 Talari bowrider, it would really help. Thanks for letting me ask dumb questions as a new Mariah owner!

Hi willrev, I have the same boat but with the Bravo3 drive. I copied the merc prop selector link here. That would be a good place to start. A lot of the selection process is the intended use for the boat, ie. crusing, skiing, full out gas burning, etc.
Make sure you post up a few pics when you get her.

I used the prop link and it recommended the bravo 4 blade. I am unsure about pitch for out of the hole pulling kids on skis boards and inflatables.

The prop selector showed a 21" which should be a good place to start. If I were you I'd find a dealer with a couple of used props that will let you try one out before you spend your money.
