I currently have 26 and I'm looking to see if there are options other then stainless. Ideally I'd like to go composite, but I'm not real hopeful as it seems all bravo iii options are stainless.

imho.....composites are crappy and good only for a spare. They flex far more than Stainless or aluminum and any impact means replacement is required. The only positive thing i can say about them is that they are cheap. Stainless or aluminum would be my choices.

As for the pitch....how does your boat perform with the 26? (mph & rpm's at wot). If you are within the recommended range for your motor then you could make some minor changes to gain a little more oomph or top end depending on the above info.

    Hi bblauvelt,

I have the Bravo III as well and yes, the prop selection isn't even close to what the single prop outdrives have but don't feel down and out, there are benefits to our outdrive the the single props don't have.

As Mikey said, no no to composites... and besides, I don't believe there is a set for our drives anyway. He's also right about how your current performance is with the 26 props. We do have a little leeway with diameter and pitch so exactly what are you looking for, better takeoff and planning or better cruising and top end?

I have a 22 ft talari 1994 or 1995. I just replaced the 454 and am looking for the right prop to get out of the hole. I am not sure what a WOB is.... I do have a bravo II and it is a merc enging big block...
    Any generic thoughts?

I do actually. This is a 5 year old thread that has nothing to do with your query other than they both involved prop selection.

As for your query. We will need to know what prop is on your boat now and preferably what your RPM's and top speed were at WOT. I'm not sure what "WOB" is either unless you meant "WOT" which stands for Wide Open Throttle and i believe the recommended range for your 454 is 4800 - 5200 rpms at WOT. I'm going to suggest that you read either or both of the first two 'stickys' at the top of the Prop forum so that you understand what is needed to determine which prop to buy.
