good evening all!

Im replaceing the floor and stringers in the 1990 2150xlc . the fueltank in in good shape except for the fuel sending unit, which is easy to replace, i want opinions on replacing the tank. the floor is gonna get overdone with the best carpeting i can find and DO NOT ever want to cut this flor up. what is the lifespan of gastanks on boats. This boat was under water once but for how long idk.

Big project, why skimp on the tank. Now is the time to change it. It might last ten years, but do you really want to see if it does? That's one vote.
Have fun, love to see some pic's when you get going.

I think i gotta go along with Jay. I'd hate to see you go to all that work only for the original fuel tank to spring a leak at a later date cuz its getting old .... and you know that the older you get the more likely you will start to leak.

Thats kinda my thoughts too. I have to oppertunity to out something bigger in cause im eliminating the stupid in the floor cooler. I. Have pics of the tearout but wont start putting back together till april or so as long as we dont have another record breaking rainfall year in the ohio river valley! Thank you for the help.
