    Hi llcelebrity,

"HELP GUYS I NEED YOU" doesn't really tell me how to help you and I have a really twisted imagination so we won't go there...

Anyway, I recommend you become a contributing member first (click here) so you can access the '99 wiring diagram on file. After which, if you still need assistance, let us know what we can do for you.....

Hi llcelebrity, click here and select the lever you would like and once your level is approved, we'll get started on getting your dash working ASAP.

BTW, since you dash is out, hopefully the battery is disconnected, if not, please do so before we begin, thanks

did alot with with the battery connected....oops!!! any fuses i could have blown that may be my problem????there are four or five under the dash already checked they are ok.........a smaill story to how i got here.....originally the power light that raises wasnt working...thats it... then i took the dash out and painted it and put the dash back in.... then the hatch wasnt working and the light that raises in the back....... we took out every gauge and was sure we wrote down where the wires originally went and put them back but now im thinking maybe not....... now 90 percent of the switches dont work and the depth gauge and trim up and down gauge from what i can tell out of water.......im so lost where do i start im far from an electrician

Ok found a few fuses that were blown and replaced them....put the dash back in....and lost my keys!!!!!!! the power hatch works and the power seat and thats it....dont know if I have to have the key on for the other switches and gauges to work or they still dont work not sure yet......... there is two sets of wires that i need some help on....I have a red and green and grey wires coming right from the tripometer or hour meter whatever it is...... the one you can push the button and it resets back to 0000....not sure what these 3 wires go to....also there is a thicker back tube with 4 or 5 TINY wires coming out of it.....red green brown white and another color i cant remember.....what are these to.........they kinda look like the same type of wires that are in the grey tube with the white plug going into the compass they are some of the same colors and are tiny wires....

One more question there is a black plastic thing on the very back of the boat with a little wheel that turns when in the water looks like a gear with big teeth what is this......???

the thicker black tube with the 5 connectors that attaches to the trip odometer (with reset button, 0000) connects to the small paddlewheel transducer on the back of your boat. this apparently is supposed to use water flow to track how far you've gone. However i've never been able to figure out exactly how it works. It's never been accurate at all!

Water turns the little wheel, which has a tiny magnet, or tiny magnets, that pass by a sensor in the body of the device that counts the pulses.

I don't know about the speedometer on Mariahs, but the Raymarine knotmeter on our sailboat has a calibration mode. Our knotmeter is pretty accurate--usually within 0.2 knots or so of the GPS' SOG (speed over ground) reading, except where there's a current.

I've no idea how accurate the speedometer on our Barchetta is, but I suspect its reading bears no relationship to reality
