Oil Drain Kit

Hi guys just wondering if they make a quick oil change kit for my merc 502. Really don't want the dip stick type looking for the type that you pull the drian hose thru the drain plug area and just let it drain. If they make one can somebody tell me where they got it and a part number. Also looking for a service manual for the 502 motor.

Where is best place to buy online ? Need a fuel water seperator filter,Oil Filter,etc.. Thanks again guys:)

Re: Oil Drain Kit

Hi Gregg,

You can try contacting any Mercruiser parts dealer for the OEM kit or you can purchase one from any online Marine vendor. Click here for one such vendor who carries them for Ford, GM and Volvo and the prices are quite reasonable.

I also recommend eBay and the internet for best prices. Just Google your part and compare prices.

As for your 502, If you become a contributing member, you would have access to our library of brochures, documentation, articles and manuals, including one for the 502.
Click here to see what each level offers.

Good luck,
WetWilly

Re: Oil Drain Kit

Gregg,

Check with your local Napa Autoparts store for the filters. They are just as cheap as online units and you save shipping. Also, while your in there have them break out some books and see if you can find an aftermarket drain kit.
