Default 7.4 Bravo 3 repower
Looking to repower my 1995 z272 barchetta. 7.4 l Mercruiser with Bravo 3.

Has anyone done a full engine replacement? I have a newer outdrive so dont want to replace, but was looking at what engine replacement options I have.

Any advice appreciated

    The 7.4MPI is a good motor, reliable and smooth but very low on power at only 310hp. The 454 Magnum is an upgrade to 385hp but has a completely different top end. Are you looking for a complete motor? Or just a new bottom end? Fuel injected or carbuated? Of course you can go wild to a 502 or 496. All you need is $.
