Default mariah virgin

Hello everyone,
we are presently looking into a 1997 224 jubilee with a 454 mag mpi. Has anyone a similar craft and how do rate it. The boat needs some TLC as the previous owner did not understand what he had. We are worried about the eng and bravo III drive but a local dealer would help in the tuneup department. We just need an overall feel for the craft as we love deck boats and this one caught our eye.
We did see a 1997 212 jubilee with a 4.3L mpi. Also is anyone running such a craft and would like your input.

    Welcome aboard!

Jubilees that are well maintained are great boats and we have quite a number of members here who own them. If they haven't been looked after then they are like any other boat and can suffer from electrical & mechanical problems. Just ensure all of the trim pieces, the windscreen and the door to the loo are in good shape as they are the most difficult items to find & replace. All of the mechanical and electrical components are still available from various places.

You might find the 4.3 in the 212 just a little under-powered but not significantly. There is no question that the 454 with the bravo 3 in the 224 will be a much better performing and handling boat.

Are either of these boats "Z" models?

Take the time to do a site search for "Jubilee" and you will find numerous threads full of information on these boats.

"Z" models come with things like power drivers seat, windshield wipers, windshield defrosters, power rear hatch, upgraded console (water temp/tripmeter etc)... lots of little extra goodies.

If you want confirmation, send a private message with your hull ID# to our Admin (Shabah Z250) and he will look it up for you.

I'm not Larry but... the 4.3 handles wakeboarders & skiiers easily with my 18' Shabah. As for your other question about upgrading the engine, are you sure the 212 has a 4.3 with a Bravo 3 outdrive?? That's an unusual combination... Normally the 4.3 is seen with an Alpha 1 but if it is mated with a Bravo it should work well with that boat.
