Hello everyone,

I just got a new 1994 talari 200 beautiful boat but the trim up is not working I did some looking around and troubleshooting and have yet to find a solution, below is what I have tried so far

Overview: the trim up button on the throttle is not working, the down is working fine and the trailer button is not working, when pressing the trim up the solenoid does not click or make any noise I also encountered some odd behavior of I quickly press the down trim then quickly press the up trim it will engage for about half a second

- I switched the blue and green wire come if from the pump to the solenoids this results in the trim down button button bring it up and the up and trailer button still not working.
- just to be sure I replace both solenoids just to be safe and and stuck in the same situation

Quick update after putting all the wires back in the original position the trailer button started working to bring up the trim however the trim up button still doesn’t work

Sounds more like the up/down switch is not functioning properly. If you switched the wires on the back of the switch and the trim went up while you pressed the down position, that says the solenoid is working, but the switch doesn't seem to be making contact in the up position which could mean something broke inside, or just a corroded connection. DO you have a multi-meter to check continuity through the switch?

The trailer button may be a power issue, broken wire, or something else. Start at the switch and then work back towards the outdrive checking wire continuity for breaks. There may be a fuse for that circuit, I'm not sure.

Turns out I just had the trim up all the way, once I put it down it worked until the limit switch. Live and learn I guess, thanks for the help
