    I think Im gonna sand blast the lower unit and ceramic coat it clear. Repaint the upper and install new stickers. I like the "offshore" look

    I also used the acid on the exhaust tips. Cleaned them up like new. Just polish the fine stuff out.


    I like the Rex. I think it will be money well spent.

    When you say "green" formula do you mean color or a special blend? I bought some from Ace hardware the other day to clean the white stuff off my stainless steel propeller and thought if it isn't much different than what you used I might do a little cleaning on my outdrive too although it isn't as bad as yours.

    I might have missed it but did it do any damage to the stickers?

    It has not damaged anything I have noticed, aside from concrete. And the green acid does not smell as strong as the regular stuff I used for etching concrete. I guess it is just a safer blend, vapor wise.
