    You can try putting ice on it. Hold the ice on the gum until it's frozen or at least hard all the way through, then try to pop it off with a plastic scraper or something that won't gouge the gelcoat.

    I've heard the ice trick... but I think "Goo Gone" is best. Just make sure you rinse it off and maybe put on another coat of wax after you get it cleaned.

    Another trick is to use a nontoxic oil (cooking oil), such as vegetable, canola or olive oil. Massage oil into gum until the gum is extremely soft then wipe off. You may need to repeat the process a second time.
