Hello everyone! I'm new to the boating scene. Right now I'm looking at a 1996 Mariah Talari 22 foot boat that is for sale. I would go look at it but its 6 hours away. The boat looks to be in great condition condition condition accept for some hull damage. Here is the picture of the hill damage. Can this be repaired or covered? It looks to be just gelcoat damage. I would get it fixed. I would also suggest you read this STICKY regarding buying used Mariahs.

Looks like the result of beaching the vessel. It is fixable. A decent fiberglass shop should be able to handle that.

Thanks for the info. Especially the link of things to look for when buying a boat. I am having the current boat owner texting me some additional close up pictures of the hull so I can see how deep/bad those scratches are.
