Fire and sound protection on shabah 180 se
 

hiI am new to the forum and to mariah boats but I am currently refurbishing a shabah 180 Se. Limited edition.

It is a 1997 model with a 4.3 mercruiser. I am currently re-upholstering those seats etc that need doing, and have noticed that on the rear of the rear bench seat there is some foil backed heat/sound proofing material.

The question I have was this factory fitted or has ot been added by a previous owner. It is only thin 2 to 3 mm thick. When I look for similar products they seem to 10mm plus thick. I am happy to fit whatever is appropriate , but wondered what if anything was factory fitted.

What's factory. I rebuilt my rear bench seat on my 99 Z222 a couple years ago and was able to carefully pull out all the staples and transfer it to my new bench.
