How to drain my old gas?
I have a 1995 202 v6 and need to drain all the gas out of the tank. I am a shade tree wrench. Any ideas on draining the tank. Is their a drain plug? If so where? I tried to siphon it out with a hose. No luck. Thanks Dave

Re: How to drain my old gas?
I doubt there is a drain plug. I had to do the same on an old boat, not a Mariah. The best method I found was removing the fuel sender and dropping in an electric fuel pump with a long hose that I placed into multiple 6 gal cans. As always, be careful working around fuel. I placed the battery for the fuel pump outside the boat, wrapped a wet towel around the fuel sender opening and had a fire extinguisher at the ready. Good luck.

Where is my gas tank located at?

Re: How to drain my old gas?
Found the tank sender and removed it to suck the gas out. Drained the fuel filter. Put new gas in with a new battery. Started right up after sitting 4 years. Did a shake down run. Could smell electric smoke smell around the passenger feet area. Just below the glove box. Stopped after 30 minuets. Ideas?
