Are all stainless carpet snaps the same? Are some better then others!! Can these be used for your boat cover?

I dont have my boat handy to check but i seem to remember my canvas guy telling me that they were. Just make sure they are Stainless Steel & not just chromed.

I had installed carpet snaps in another boat. Had to replace snaps down the line. Other snaps didn't fit right. Kept coming off. Could have been crome on stainless steal. Thanks!
