Default Weight

Good day to everyone and I must say this warmer weather has got me itching to hit water! Anyway I wanted to ask a couple of questions. The first one is how much does my 2001 mariah Shabah 218 weigh, also I need a maintenance and parts manual's of the boat itself not the motor like I've gotten in the past. Those manual's work great but I need things like a screen cover for the top window and whatever kind if fresh water contain that hooks up to the sink in the cuddy cabin.

Thanks for all your help.

Hi RayRay, The weight of your 2001 218 Shabah is 3650lbs (not including trailer, fuel, carry on gear, or any accessories).

As far as a parts manual, I'm sorry, those just don't exist, they never existed when Mariah was in business, as the majority of the parts were produced in-house by Mariah. We've compiled a list of the aftermarket parts used in the boats, and it can be found here. http://www.mariahownersclub.com/foru...arts-list.html

For the screen cover, I'm assuming you're talking about the hatch window in the top of the deck? the hatch windows were made by Bomar or Taylor Made, and you should contact them for an exact replacement. You'll need to measure the window. However if you have a West Marine or boat supply house around, they might have the size you need. I'd check there first.

The water container they used is readily available at West Marine. Here's the link. West Marine: Collapsible Water Carrier Product Display

    Hope this helps.

Not as accurate as Shaba or Mikey but yours should be in around the 6000lbs.

According to the 98 brochure, 5750lbs is the dry weight with the stock motor (502). I'd say 6,000lbs is about right factoring in fuel, batteries and CG equipment and any other gear.

Well I'll chime in my weight. 96 z240 Talari on trailer was about 5600 lbs on the scale at the grain elevator.
