Mariah 250 shaba

Good day I'm new to your forum, I want to change my boat to Mariah 250 shabah, produced in 2000 with a length of 7.62 meters https://2yachts.com/ru/boat/402318-m...iah-250-shabah . Mercruiser 7.4 engine. Who is the owner of such a boat, what are its weaknesses? Thanks for the answer!

I have a 2000 with the 7.4. It is a solid boat, no issues here. Although they might look like a go-fast type boat it is really a more of a sporty cruiser. These boats cruise well with around 1000lbs of people/coolers and Ive never felt the boat needed more power. It handles rough water pretty good but Ive been in other boats of a similar size (crownline, fountain) that I felt not only handled better but took on large waves better. Dont take that as the Mariah is not good, its just not a boat for blasting wide open throttle across a white capped body of water.

The 2000 era 7.4MPI motors have a vapor lock issue when they are fueled with ethanol fuel. There is a fix for this but I have ethanol free fuel nearby so thats what I fuel it with.

Another issue is that trailer. Mine came with a Prestige and I ended up putting new axles on it because the factory torsion ones were sagged out. Plus the frame was cracking and had to be repaired too.

I have had mine since 2013 and would not have done anything different. Been a great boat.

Thank you for such a detailed answer! I will also fill up the fuel without ethanol!
