Thats pretty much what I've noticed on Oklahoma lakes. Most of the time I see them get nailed at the ramps.

On another note I did have a buddy get run over by a drunk boater in 1999. Nearly lost his leg. The drunk guy got the equivalent of a reckless driving ticket. $90 if I remember correctly

    Default Good and Bad

I go to Havasu all the time - 1-3 times a month, and I boat all year. BUT, from Memorial weekend to labor day weekend ~ I stay off the water on Friday, Sat, and Sun. Having a house in Havasu certainly helps. Too many boats, long lines and "weekend" boaters make it less than enjoyable.

I enjoy two beers on the lake - one with Lunch and the other about 2 hours before getting off the water. No laws stop me from drinking - I know the idiots that are on the lake, and would rather have my straight thinking mind (As good as that gets!) and have my thirst quenched at home after the lake.

Hopefully the law will help have a DD on each boat full of idiots - although that should be the norm anyway!

rant over.... have a happy new year!
