Default GPS Navigation

How many people have GPS or a chartplotter onboard their boat for navigation? If so, what are you running and how do you like it?

I've got an old Garmin GPS III I used to use for trailriding in my Jeep. It's not the most accurate since it was made before they started using the WAAS protocol, which allows accuracy down to about 9ft. I use it to mark buoys and danger areas so I can steer away if I'm out at night. Comes in handy.

I know for a while Mariah was offering a GPS Chartplotter with the Z Package!

I don't currently have one, but I should put one on my Christmas list. I think it would be a nice addition.

Where I typically boat, if you are 9 feet offshore you're in more than enough water...

Where do you normally boat Z202? I'm just down the road here in Cambridge.

We stay on the inland lakes so gps really isn't necessary for the type of boating we do. Definetely interested in what GPS you decide on Chris!

I have a Garmin 178C with Blue Chart map and sonar.
The system is amazing and I would be scared to go out without it.
The addition of the Blue Chart maps made a big difference. and the Sonar works great.
