Help buying a Z222

So I found 99 z222 with 220hrs checkered flag package 7.4 w/bravo 3 boat looks real clean in the pics comes with the matching trailer they are asking $16k. What's the average price these have been going for. I also have to consider the fact that the boat is 1000miles away so I'm gonna have to pay to rather drive out and pick it up or ship it.

Well check the stickies in the buy and sell for good tips before you purchase. NADA has a good boat section and I paid book value for mine in May 2016. And please take it for a test run.

Wow, last of the good ones for sure! Love that power train combo, don't see a lot of 7.4 units in that size. Price is really what something will sell for, and to whoever is willing to pay... Having said that, just look at what 15-20k will buy in your area. The low hours are a big plus. What I've found over the years with toys, it all comes down to maintance. Have you talked with the owner, do they understand boats, repairs, service work done, can talk about the maintenance they do? If it's across town, you check it out and go for a ride, but with the investment of time (and money) you really have to build the history of that boat. Once you feel good about it, make sure that trailer is ready for that trip back! Have him look at the dot on the tires if they haven't been replaced in 3 years. I drove 800 miles for mine, and it all worked out. I think the price is fair, and if it has good records, great condition, and don't think you could go wrong for the money. Good luck!

Not sure which direction you are but this one is in nebraska.
1999 Mariah Z222 - $10500
1999 Mariah Z222

But the one in the millwaukee area is a better boat.
I had a 98 z222 with the 7.4 bravo one and it was excellent in the water. It rode really great and It had plenty of power to move that heavy boat.
Im sure the 5.7 does ok but the 7.4 really pulls great.
I live in wisconsin and I can tell you mariahs are becoming very very rare around here especially in that condition. Im sure thats probably the case everywhere though...
Its crownline country around here.....but everybody loves my mariah...lol
I get wows every beach i am at.

I now have a 01 Z222 with a 6.2l bravo 3 .
I bought it last fall and i paid slightly more than the 16000 hes asking for the 99.
Mine had 89 hours on it but needed a couple of small mechanical fixes.
Hope this helps you out.....
This is mine.
