Hydrofoils and such
I am new to boating but want to be able to pull my kids on tubes and such this summer. It seems some folks have added "hydrofoils" or similar to thier cavitation plate to let the boat plane at a slower speed. Do they really help? Any risk of damage due to use? What are best brands and styles? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,

Re: Hydrofoils and such
Do a search on this forum for "Smart Tabs". Most will agree, they're far superior to the hydrofoils (although some like them as well).
I think your size boat and engine will benefit greatly from the Smart Tabs. |

Thanks guys. Sounds like quick tabs are the ticket.

Re: Hydrofoils and such
and if you decide to go with the Smart Tabs, buy the 60# actuators. They work best on your particular boat.
