8.2GSi Workshop Manual or ...
I am having a cooling issue. Changed impeller, thermostat ... water path favors starboard side. Only overheats when running over 3000 Rpm at varying lenths of time. Drop back below 3000 Rpm and everything works great but port side riser is definitely hotter. With captain's call on I can see water just "shooting out" starboard side as opposed to port side.
Looking for manuals other than Instruction Manual with more detailed cooling diagrams. I am guessing it's rust restricting pressure in exhaust manifold or riser. It appears that water exits to Manifolds from Thermostat directly so I don't think it could be the power steering or oil cooler, am I wrong? Thanks for any insight here. Let me know if there is another forum I should post to as well. |

Hi cwbynum and welcome to the club! The club might have the information you're looking for, but first you'll need to become a contributing member to have access to the clubs library of documentation and manuals. Click here to get started, then once your a CM, contact me and I'll direct you to what we have. Just from what I can see, it appears that the manifolds get their water from the heat exchanger which is fed from the thermostat, water pump and return water from the oil coolers. WetWilly |
