Volvo Penta side mount Throttle - push in nuetral button not working
 

I am having trouble with my "throttle-only" button on my Volvo Penta side mount throttle controller.

Normally when you push the button it allows the controller to disengage and give throttle without the transmission being engaged. Now when I push the button it does not allow me to move the throttle handle forward. It appears to be mechanical in nature as you would normally be able to do this without power on.

Has anyone experienced this and know of a fix for it?

I have attached a photo of the style I have, cannot find any part numbers and it is only referred to as a Volvo Penta side mount throttle.

I would appreciate any assistance on figuring this out.
