overnight trip on the Willamette/Columbia Rivers
Last weekend it was to hit 95 here in Portland. So I loaded up the boat and the family and spent 2 full days in the sunshine.
Saturday night, the wife and daughter headed home and my 8yr old son and I spent the night on the water. Not to bad of an adventure for just one night (filler cushions aren't the most comfortable). We had a blast, ordered pizza delivered to the dock for dinner..............bagels, juice and banana's for breakfast. Zero wind the next morning and sunrise at 6:33am. Made for a long day (got off the water last night at 9pm). Here are a few pics of Sunday morning. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-...2/IMG_0729.JPG http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-...2/IMG_0730.JPG http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-...2/IMG_0733.JPG http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-...2/IMG_0734.JPG http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-...2/IMG_0736.JPG |

Re: overnight trip on the Willamette/Columbia Rivers
yep. we dropped anchor in the pond near the ramp (18 ft deep). got up bright and early and made a pass all the way down the willamette at around 8:15am. Only bass fishermen out sling'n plugs at that time of day.
