Hi guys, Although this article was written in Australia by an Australian Insurance company, the whole topic is appropriate for every trailer boater in the world.
Most of us already know what is suggested in this article but it is a good reminder for all of us, particularly those that are just about to start using their boats and trailers again.
Sorry about the scanning quality, the old home scanner isnt the best in the world.

Thanks for sharing that article Dudders. Great reminder about safety first and use your common sence. I always tow either my travel trailer or my boat like I'm transporting dinamite. Do all your pre trip checks then ckeck again. All pee stops along the way, get out streach the legs and check everything again. With girls in the family there are alot of these stops, so I get to check things over alot!

Hi dudders,

Thank you for this excellent article, you can never be too careful when towing or maintaining the trailer.

Believe me, I’ve had first hand experience with a wheel bearing issue and a bad trailer, it wasn't pretty and it wasn't cheep ether!

In the end, a new trailer was the answer.

Live and learn,
WetWilly

I'm still new to this boating thing, and a good deal of fear is still at play when I tow my boat around. I've made the rookie mistakes (not lifting the trim - replace prop), had a tube fly out the back in our subdivision (I wasn't tied down properly) and the early launch ramp fears of not loading the boat correctly on the trailor. Not to mention dumping the truck in the lake. Find the OPP launch pic's in gallery.

Thanks Dudders, I'm printing it now. Remember, go slow, check everything, then check it again! Travel safe.
