Trailering switch

Can anyone tell me where the original location is for the trailer switch on a 1996 Shabah? I purchased my boat in October and the console was destroyed thanks to the previous owner's attempt to install a new radio. I am going to rebuild the console in the spring however I had to bypass the trailer switch when I went to winterize my boat this week. Was the switch on the shift or the console?

Thanks for the help. I am trying to draw out my wiring diagram using the "console" posts on here.

On my 96 Shabah is is on the back lower corner of the Base of the throttle lever. I bought the boat a few months ago, and it was hell to find it, but it's there. There is also one on the Transom.

Thanks for the help. You must have bought your boat around the same time, I bought mine. I did find the button on the bottom of the throttle. I am still looking for the one near the transom.

To the best of my knowledge, the transom switch is an option only available on the Z-series models.

Shabazz250, scubydo and simpleaz, thank you very much for your input. I thought I was losing my mind. It's my first boat/Mariah and I am still learning.

Thanks again.

I am learning each day. Mine is a Standard 200 but I do have the transom switch. Handy when getting on trailer and helps me not forget to put up the drive.

Best to you. Lots of good info on here. I went ahead and bought the lifetime membership as I plan on being around awhile.

My 96 200 is not a "Z" and it has the transom switch as well.

The 200 model I think was only made in 1996 so maybe it was just standard on this model. I do like the lines of mine. They are a little different from the other models from what I can tell.

Re: Trailering switch

Perhaps the transom switch was standard on the 1996 200 model, in 1997 the "Transom Tilt Switch" was listed as part of the Z Package. So you guys got a "Free Z Perk" :D

Re: Trailering switch

Odd. Mine does not have it and it is a 1996 200 Shabah. I have just put her up in for the winter. I am reviewing all the posts on here and I am going to overhaul her from bow to stern come the spring.
