I want to add brakes to the third axel

I have a 1997 Z276 MCC with a Chariot 3 axel trailer. I want to add brakes to the third axel, any help? Who were the manufactures of the brakes? Are the still available? Who has them? What do owners do to be able to disengage the brakes for backing?
