Kumho 857 Tires

Hey guys i just bought a set of Kumho 857 tires. I heard there might be a problem with the amount of psi (65psi) where the rim and tire meet. I have heard about it on a couple other websites but I wanted to ask you all first. I have a 1998 Shabah 180 w/ a champion trailer.

Thanks in advance,
Brandon

The wheels that came with the trailer probably aren't made for that kind of pressure. Usually 65 psi or 80 psi tires are mounted on heavier rims. My fifth wheel camper and my dually have 80 pound tires and the wheels are built to handle that.

I could be mistaken but I wouldn't think a single axle trailer for an 18 foot boat would come with those kind of wheels/tires.

According to the tirereack website 65 psi is the max inflation pressure.

I don't run the Kumho's but I have my singles inflated to 55 psi to carry my 202. Mind you they are the heavy 6-lug 15" rim.
