Towing With Cover On

As the subject states...Opinions?

The boat is a 96 Jubilee z244. Previous owner advised to leave cover on for towing as the front seats like to come out. I know it has to be rough on the cover (nice snap in cover) towing it like that but, I don't want things flying out either. Options? Thoughts?

Re: Towing With Cover On

Buy a separate trailering cover. I had a bad experience trailering with a snap on cover. A few of the snaps pulled off and proceeded to flail in the wind. The snaps beat against the fiberglass and and ruined the finish. Cheaper to buy a separate cover than repair gel coat!

What's a good trailering cover to look at?

Check out this article https://www.boatus.com/magazine/trai...oat-covers.asp
It mentions Taylor Made who make good products.

We made the mistake of turning with a mooring cover on. It beat against the boat so bad that it ruined the gel coat bear the cleats at the back. If you are worried about seats, take them out or bundle them together. Never towing with the cover on again...
