Led light upgrade

I have a 2001 trail rite trailer that i got with the 2001 Shabah 182 i bought a couple of months ago. It is missing a couple marker lights and the brake lights are a faded. I want to replace everything with led lights., My question is do I have to do anything special other than swapping the lights? And to tell the truth Iam not sure what kind of lights are there now. It is single axle and being pulled with a 2008 Ford F150 with a 4 wire hookup.

No, nothing special is required. Just remove the old ones and replace with the new LED versions. My Shabah's trailer came with LED lights already, but I have two other boat trailers and have converted them both to LED. Very easy, except for removing the old rusted bolts.

What he said. I just replaced my trailer's stock lights with LEDs. Bought them on ebay.

I just replaced all my lights with LED’s. Because the lights were the originals on a 1997 Chariot, the marker lights were pop riveted on and were the kind used for 18 wheelers and one was shorting out. The original wiring harness had been worked on at least twice and was wrapped n several places with electrical tape. So we just rewired everything from front to back with all new connectors to vehicle. Now have all new totally submersible lights that are super bright at night.. Love the difference.. If replacing a few, I would do them all and rewire at the same time.. Then you KNOW all are good.
