Mariah SC23 2007, water entering the boat?!?

Hello

I have a question about my 2007 Mariah SC23.
When it is raining a lot of water is coming into my boat. I found out that it comes from the compartment in the front of the boat where I have ropes etc.
There is a drain there and the problem is that it is not connected to anyting so the water just goes right into the hull.

Do anybody here known how this is supposed to be? I asume that the water is suppost to be draind out from the boat?

My understanding of the Sea-Fox construction was to let the water drain back into the bilge then allow the bilge pump to get rid of the water.

If we're talking about the anchor locker at the front then on my 04 it has a drain attached to a thru hull fitting just below. Are the later ones different?

I'm not really sure about the Sea-Fox models and their design so if the OP has a thru hull drain in the area then its quite possible that the drain hose has disconnected or was missing from day 1.

To the OP, see attached pic of my 04. There is a thru hull fitting just to the right of the bow roller in the pic. This is connected to the drain hole at the bottom of the anchor locker. If you have this fitting or something similar then you may need to check to see if you have a pipe connecting it or not.

On my 2007 there in no thru hole fitting. And there is nothing connected to the drain so the water in coming into the inside of the hull. So it must be a production fault, or poor design.
As a temporary fix I have plugged the drain hole. I will install a thru hull fitting like the one you have at the end of the season.
I think is is strange that the previous owner didn'n notice this. Is is always water in the boat because the bilge pump is not pumping out the last centimeters.

Strange. Pics below I just dug off the net. Blue stripe is an 06 SC21 and has the drain. Other one is an 08 SC23 and doesn't look like it does. Maybe they deleted it in 07 or something? Should be easy enough to add one anyway like you say.
