looking at a mariah

looking at a 2006 mariah. the guy didnt have the model number handy but he says its an 18.5 ft. its got a yellow stripe and yellow all over the interior. it is a bowrider 4.3 v6. has a yellow trailer. seems to be a nice looking boat. what other brands are the mariahs comparable to? are they a fiberglass or wood floor? any common problems with them? also what is an 06 with low hours in good shape worth?

Re: looking at a mariah

Welcome aboard. The boat is either 18' or 19'5" so its either an SX18 or SX19, the floor is 'composite material' per the brochure and the 'yellow' is called Aztex yellow by the mfr. The new Mariah Boats by SeaFox are built to a price point and are considered a middle of the range type of boat.

You can read a review of his 2006 SX18 done by one of our members here to give you a little more information on the boat.

As for the value, check out the NADA site and search eBay or Craigslist

so do the floors have removable carpet? i know some sea rays etc have snap in carpet and a very cleanable floor. some like bayliners have carpet glued down.

Some came with carpet, some came with no carpet & non-slip flooring. I believe the carpeted ones were glued down but perhaps one of the SeaFox/Mariah owners can chime in here.

We do NOT use the word 'Bay.....' around here..... :shakehead:

You know how if you try to enter a swear word such as ******* (assh0le) the system 'stars' the word out? I'm thinking that we can do the same thing for the word Bay..... :wink_thumbup:

Re: looking at a mariah

Take a look at the "Coast Guard" plate. It should have the model stamped on it.
Mine is right by the shifter , some are on the wall between the windshield.
Not real sure where it's at on a SeaFox Mariah.
Then you can do a search on NADA , or better yet Craigslist in your area , and see what they are going for. :wink_thumbup:
One of the SeaFox guys should chime in if you can't find it.
Sorry I don't have more for you.:(
