Lineup Changes - No More Cruiser
Just a topic for conversation.
Looks like Sea Fox Mariah got rid of the G23 (I think it was) cruiser and added the R26 bowrider. The R26 looks like it has a nice seating layout, even up in the bow. There wasn't a 26' bowrider before, was there? |
Re: Lineup Changes - No More Cruiser
I think the largest boat they sold prior to this was a 25' bow rider & cuddy cabin.

Re: Lineup Changes - No More Cruiser
I do remember reading something about Sea Fox Mariah re-engineering their molds with a marine designer/engineer. From everything I've seen, Sea Fox Mariah only bought the molds up to 25ft. I think they may have got one of each mold of the 250 and the 252 models. The 250 became their SC25/G25, and the 252 became their SX25. Perhaps they modified the 252 mold to create the new R26. The R26 is a really nice looking boat!
My guess is due to the economy now, they're probably limiting their line to their best selling models. 2010 brought the G270 cruiser, (which I may venture a guess and say it's based off the old 268MCC cruiser mold, with significant re-engineering) and I'm interested to see how they're doing with that boat. It's a good looking cruiser that offers many nice features at a significantly lower cost and is probably very appealing to new boat owners looking for a nice affordable cruiser. I hope it does well, it is great to see a Mariah cruiser again. |
